Information You Provide to Us:
We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, we collect Personal Information such as your name, email address, and browser information. You can choose not to provide us with certain information such as your credit card information, but then you may not be able to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
When using our services you need to enter at least your e-mail, password and name. If you choose to create an Ahoi account via a third-party service such as Facebook or Google, no passwords of the third-party service get transferred to our system (see OAuth). When the authentication is complete, we’ll be able to access certain information based on your permissions from the third-party service. Some features also require entering your company name and credit card information.
When using Ahoi the application might ask you to allow access to your contacts and contacts data. Ahoi will use this contacts only to provide you a better usability and workflow while using Ahoi e.g. in order to invite your contacts to Ahoi. If you do not want us to use your contacts for Ahoi features, do not allow access in your apps.
Information Collected Automatically:
Whenever you interact with our Websites or Services, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or mobile app including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page or service you requested. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your computer or mobile device that allow us to recognize your browser or mobile device and tell us how and when pages in our Website are visited by you. We collect data about your geolocation by evaluation of IP address.
Ahoi uses technologies such as cookies, beacons, scripts and tags. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the website and gathering demographic information about our user base as a whole and uses (web) push notifications to retarget visitors if allowed in the notification preferences. Various browsers or mobile operating systems may offer their own management tools for removing these types of tracking technologies.
Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button, and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our website. These Features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it.
E-Mail and other Communications:
Ahoi may contact you by email or other means. Out of respect for your privacy, you may choose to stop receiving emails or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails, accessing the email preferences in your account settings page or you can contact us at email@example.com. The user accepts that messages and any data that is uploaded and used in the Ahoi service is visible to other users of the Ahoi service and might be stored permanently. Your audio and video is also visible to other users of Ahoi once an active connection is established. You have the possibility to decide if you want to send audio and/or video by your own user input (enable/disable cam/mic). Ahoi never records or broadcasts audio or video streams automatically without explicit user permissions.
Information related to the usage of Ahoi
Our servers automatically record information about how a person uses Ahoi, including IP addresses, app versions, operating systems, device models, device languages and device country settings and other statistics. We use and analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) this information to customize and improve Ahoi. We also use non-identifying information about how Ahoi is used or develop features to protect us against attacks.
Where Do we store your personal information?
Personal Data may also be transferred to third parties who act for or on our behalf, for further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the data were originally collected or may otherwise be lawfully processed, such as service delivery, evaluating the usefulness of this website, marketing, data management or technical support. We share such Personal Information in personally identifiable form with third parties as described below.
For External Processing, Trusted Third Parties:
We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide the Services to you. Unless we tell you differently, such third parties do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. This includes third party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our Services, including the provision of maintenance services and general improvement of the Services. Additional 3rd party cross-platform push notifications services and automated lead qualification platforms are used to support the Ahoi marketing, sales and customer success teams with sufficient data in order to do their work.

We will share personal information with companies, organisations or individuals outside Ahoi if we have a belief in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
- meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
- enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
- detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
- protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Ahoi, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.
Is the personal information secure?
For your privacy and security, your account is protected by a password. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.
We try hard to protect the privacy of your account and other personal information we hold in our records, but we cannot guarantee complete security. The transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time.
The transmission of all information on our websites or services is encrypted using TLS (transport layer security) or SRTP (secure real-time protocol).

Through your Ahoi account settings, you may access, and, in some cases, edit or delete the following information you’ve provided to us:

- profile photo
- location The information you can view, update, and delete may change as the Website changes.
